ਮੈਂ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਨਾਸਮਝੀ

ਸਮਝ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਈ,

ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਚੱਲੇ ਸੀ।

ਕੱਟ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ ਦਿਨ ਮਾਸੂਮੀਅਤ ਨਾਲ,

ਸਾਨੂੰ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਝੱਲੇ ਸੀ।

ਲੋੜ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ,

ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਇਕੱਲੇ ਸੀ।

ਮਤਲਬ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ,

ਹੋਣੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਵੀ ਬੱਲੇ ਬੱਲੇ ਸੀ।

ਕਦਰ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਨੀਂ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਦੀ,

ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਜਜਬਾਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਠੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਸੀ।

ਸਮਝਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਬੇਕਸੂਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ,

ਕੀੜੀਆਂ ਮਰਦੀਆਂ ਆ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਥੱਲੇ ਸੀ।
